Boccaccio Studies

Examines a particular aspect of Boccaccio’s works, such as the Decameron. Issues may include Boccaccio’s role in the construction of a vernacular literary community, his place in the history of literary criticism, his investigations of gender, or his relationship to the larger storytelling traditions.
